Contractors are licensed in a specific field of work and specialize only in projects related to that particular line of work. Handymen do not require a license and may have a broader range of general skills that are used around the home or office.

Handymen / Handyman / Handywomen work on a variety of items. You’ll find that different Handymen specialize in different types of jobs or size of jobs. The quick answer is; different handymen charge different rates. Some charge by the hour, some have set rates, some provide an estimate for each job. Rates will fluctuate based on the type of project they’re completing, their skills, the complexity of the work, the region (city/state), and other variables. The way we charge depends on the job. Sometimes we’ll do work on a time and materials basis, other jobs we’ll provide a fixed rate, others we’ll provide an estimate. Tell us about your project!

Handymen are not all equal. One handyman may have a skill set another handyman won’t have. This will dictate which jobs you should hire them to perform. Here are a few of the services a handyman will likely perform. Interior painting, exterior painting, staining or painting a deck, minor plumbing repairs such as repairing a small leak can be done by a handyman. Applying caulking to doors/windows, replacing damaged deck boards, gutter cleaning, drywall repair, driveway sealing, maintenance work, touch-ups, general repairs, general honey-do projects… these are just a few of the type of projects a handyman will often tackle.
